LAN Network

A local area network (LAN) is a computer network connecting computers and devices within a limited geographical location, including homes, schools and office buildings.  The defining characteristics of LANs in contrast to wide area networks (WANs), include higher rates of data transfer, smaller geographical area and lack of a need for leased telecommunication lines.

LAN Solutions

Neptune designs, implements and supports LAN Solutions for some of the most demanding clients and customers within the UK.  We operate in multiple business sectors, including financial services, hospitals, on-line retail chains, government offices, civil aviation and manufacturing.  Neptune offers a range of networking solutions from Cisco and Extreme, our technology partners.  Our people are highly skilled at integrating single, end-to-end solutions that meet your specific business needs.

Expert Technical Account Management

One of the major benefits of working with Neptune is our commitment to high-quality and on-going Technical Account Management, as opposed to a Sales-based Account management approach.  We allocate a dedicated Technical Client Manager to all of our partners in order to assist in planning for the future.  Many channel based organisations claim this level of account management, but few can rival Neptune’s close relationship with its clients.

To ensure we deliver real and continuing benefits, we encourage our partners to work with our engineers on a familiarisation program in order to build a detailed picture of the required project, or support requirement, of the current network infrastructure, including configuration.  This familiarisation program may require site visits, either pre-contract, or during the early stages of the contract.
