Internet Access

There are a number of ways to connect to the Internet and a wide range of speeds, technologies and costs.  Neptune can advise you on which technology is most suited to your needs, whether it is ADSL, SDSL, Leased Line or Ethernet.

ADSL

ADSL is one of the most common and cost effective ways of connecting to the Internet.  Neptune can source a range of broadband services including;

  • 150Kbps – 8Mbps connection speeds with contention ratios ranging from 50:1 to 1:1
  • Managed and maintained routing platforms
  • Managed and maintained Firewalls
  • ADSL assured services – ISDN back-up options guaranteeing availability.

SDSL

The extensive availability of SDSL services now promotes high speed, symmetrical, access to the Internet.  Historically, customers would have to invest in leased line services to achieve this degree of throughput, performance and service level guarantees.  SDSL services include;

  • 1Mbps, 2Mbps & 4Mbps connection speeds with contention ratios ranging from 20:1 to 1:1
  • Managed and maintained routing platforms
  • Managed and maintained Firewall
  • SDSL assured services – ISDN back-up options guaranteeing availability.

Leased line

High Performance Internet Connectivity is available by utilising dedicated leased line access.  Access speeds range from 64Kbps to 155Mbps.

Network breakout

Internet Access can be achieved by a centralised ‘break out’ point on your existing Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure.  This alternative method of connectivity results in increased network resilience, flexible capacity, and a reduction in network costs, due to better utilisation of available bandwidth on network access circuits.  Centralised access is achieved by Convergence Group providing with you an integrated network gateway that controls all of your Internet requirements.
